Aiden's first minutes (large file!)

Aiden is home...

Aiden and his Mom and Dad made it home today. He is doing great and Cindy is recovering well. We even had time to pick up Sparky on the way home. Here are a few pictures of the hospital where Aiden was born, one of him in his car seat on the way home, a picture of him bundled for bed and a shot of the boys hanging out in the living room.

Aiden Sleeping...again or still?

Still Sleeping!

Aiden has been the sleep king for the past two days! He slept about eight hours last night, with a half-hour break for a feeding. The nurses tell us the bigger kids have bigger stomachs and can stay asleep longer without getting hungry. That's good news for us, but we'll see if it sticks. Hopefully, he'll at least stay on the same sleep patterns! It looks like we'll be going home this afternoon. Cindy is continuing to do really well and the pediatrician and nurses say Aiden is great... no jaundice or other complications. If we get out in time, we can get Sparky and he can meet Aiden for the first time tonight! We'll let you know how that goes... More pictures later when we are back on a high-speed connection.

Aiden's first morning

Aiden has been eating like a champ and slept pretty well last night. 4 hours straight, then a few minutes of feeding, then back to sleep for another hour! These two pictures are from early this morning. He is in his plastic bassinet after Sean changed him and right before he passed his hearing test this morning. You can see his big foot prints in the back of the bassinet. Cindy is doing well. The IV is out and she was able to eat solid food for breakfast. (They didn't have her Dumma's english toasting bread, but the english muffin did the trick.)

Aiden Anthony Gallagher

Aiden Anthony greeted us at 11:08 am this morning, October 29th, 2007! He wieghed in at 9 lbs, 11 oz and measured 21.5 inches long. He and his Mom are doing very well. He seems to enjoy sleeping as much as his Mom and Dad do! He is currently snoring away on his Mom's lap.

Baby Gallagher is on the way

In two days, we'll add a fourth to the family. We can't wait to find out if we are having a boy or girl! We'll know on Monday, October 29th at 10:30 AM! That is the scheduled time for Cindy's C-Section anyway... Hopefully we'll be able to post the first pictures of the little one by 1 or 2 PM on Monday. Until then, here is a 4-D sonogram photo taken on September 24th. My friend John and my sister Pat say it looks like the hand of God is holding the baby's head.
