Aiden meets his cousins!

Aiden met his cousins Boomer, Brandon and Fiona, as well as his Aunt Pattie and Uncle Beeb this weekend. Here are some pictures from the weekend, including one with Gram and all her grandchildren.

Farewell Sparky-man...

Sparky left us today to be in a better place. He had total kidney failure and was very anemic. He went very peacefully to sleep as we held him and pet him. Here are some of our favorite Sparky pictures...

Thanksgiving

We all gave thanks for having a new addition to the family and for having Gail and Michelle with us for the holiday! It looks like all the carbs in the dinner hit Grammie Gail and Aiden pretty hard!

Aiden got to meet his Grammie Gail and his Aunt Michelle this week! They have been really helping Cindy all week and are cooking us all Thanksgiving dinner today! Aiden even came dressed for the occasion... he's hanging out in his glider before dinner.

Since Aiden's cord fell off this week we decided to upgrade from the newborn sponge bath to a traditional baby bath. Aiden didn't enjoy the bath so much and made sure Mommy and Daddy new it! Once he found his thumb he was all set.
Aiden also had a nice visit from his Great Grandmother (his Great Dumma actually) this week. What a lucky kid! Not many people have two full sets of Great Grandpartents!

Here he is again! I am proud to present more pictures of Baby Aiden. Since we last posted, Aiden has discovered just how comforting his thumbs can be. I wonder what that thumb tastes like...
He also has a favorite new position... I can't imagine how comfortable it is to be all crumbled in that sling!
After 14 days, we're all doing well. We took the family on a nice walk yesterday. Aiden's second walk, my first. Every day I feel a little stronger and am almost back down to fighting weight.
Sparky is adjusting well to the new addition. I think he's just glad I don't have such a large stomach any more so that he can have his place back on the bed.
So far we've been pretty blessed with little Aiden. He has been a great sleeper, giving us 4 hours of straight sleep time at night. He's even staying in his own crib (sometimes...). What a great idea the sleep positioner was!
We'll be back on again soon with new pictures of Aiden and his Great Grandmother who comes in for a visit tomorrow.

Aiden had the hiccups today and while we don't think he enjoyed it, it was pretty funny. We caught the tail end of them in this viedo.

AIden's first visitors

Aiden's Gram and our neighbor Jenny were the first two visitors Aiden had at his house this week. Gram held and consoled Aiden during the epic loss to Navy on Saturday. He wore his ND gear proudly, but even he is thinking twice about wearing it outside the house until next year.

Aiden received some very nice flowers and a present yesterday and today! We took a picture of him enjoying them after his first jog/walk with his Dad and Sparky in the awesome stroller his Gram bought! Ok, he's asleep, but his Mom and Dad really like the flowers from Grammie Gail, Grampie, and Uncle Raymond and Great Aunt Lo and Great Uncle Joe and the basket of goodness from Marieke, Breeze and Rachelle!
